1942 I'm not sure about the grill but 1942 was the only year they had the 1/2 front fender down the door. 46 and on the body line of the front fender went clear back to the rear fender. Mitch

I apologize it's been 60 years since I worked in the wrecking yard. I based my opinion on the 42 Buick that I made my first trip in 1949 to Illinois in. Got to thinking about it after I went to bed and thought I might be wrong. Mitch

The fella that owns this BEAUTY drove in to see my friend while I was taking pictures of the RARE Buick sign. Had a chance to look at it briefly.

I believe my friend said it is a 1948 hard-to-find fastback.

I will have to check with him again.
