Sept. 21-21, 2012 Santa Rosa, CA. Go west young man, go west. Or south, or north, whatever, just be there. If you need info, PM me & I'll do my best sales pitch. Killer stuff, NO admission fee, friendly folks (debateable) laid back atmosphere, did I mention killer stuff? Lodi corner will be minus Ted , Pam & Ethyl but Jason & family will fill in this year.

Trying to work out a schedule so I can go. Might be driving straight through (790 miles) on a banzai run with a lurker sharing the driving. Great show, lot's of great stuff to buy, and a good time for sure.

If you're planning on vending, bring your own shade; Fred lost 3 big (and I mean BIG oaks) to disease/old age.

Tom,
I am doing my best to be there this year. Is there going to be FRIDAY nigh get-together? I have heard the get-together includes a DINNER + VISIT to supper collector's house. If so, what a package deal!
Also, one main reason to attend: meet Master Slama!

I forgot to post that I'll be there, minus Ken, who has to work. He promises to be there next year and is "*****" that the date changed after he had already booked the other week off. Bringing a really nice United MOtors 30" neon and an original, almost mint, Quaker State neon clock plus a few signs. See you all there Ray hotcidr@cox.net

There will be a Friday evening get together dinner. You'll have to show up to get the details. Chris, looking forward to seeing you two & we'll all pitch in on the Bullets(especially on the consuming end...) Jim, I've heard rumors of some really nice Associated/Flying A stuff being available. I'll be at Fred's this evening through next Sunday & checking in on the computer so stay tuned for updates!!!

Looks like I'm gonna head down Thursday from Calgary and should make it in sometime Friday afternoon. Might bring along a couple signs to sell and will post up tonight with anything I may bring? Hoping to stay until Saturday afternoon and then head down to pick up some pumps before heading back to Western Canada.
Looking for Bennett 541 pumps if anyone has anything going to the Gas Bash? If so, holler and let me know.

I need a 5 foot sign brought down from Washington.
I will pay for some of your gas if you bring it down for me.
I will be there on Friday morning through the afternoon.
PM me.

I heard rumors that some guy found an abandoned shop east of Lodi and is bringing quite a collection of rare oil cans and pump plates. Hopefully we can make some good deals on this fresh merchandise.

This time pictures, names, and numbers. Thanks I will, however this is what happened to me last few years: Every time I take or see someone else take photos at Fred's, the seller usually gives some sort of crappy look at us. Like, who are you and why are you taking photos of my stuff!? They usually are not very receptive. I then explain to them that I will be posting the photos on here and the response I usually get is, "It will cost you $10 to take pics of my stuff." About half are joking. I tell them I am giving them free advertisement on here. They usually walk away from me at that time. No longer interested in what I am doing. They don't even off to give their phone number. Last year, only 3 people said thanks. I post the photos any way for reference for everyone on here and to see what is out there for sale. I also like to look at what I missed because I was too focused on other items. I am a buyer, and not a seller. I sell a few items here and there. If I was a seller, I would give everyone my info via pre printed cards, because I am there to make money. But that's just me. If this happens again, I will no longer take pics to post on here. Mike

I do not blame you for having that thought. It is frustrating to get that attitude when you are there just for the sake and to help others see what is there and available. Thanks for taking the pictures in the past though. We will see what happens.

Great show, great location! Everybody seemed real friendly. Big thanks to all that made it happen! Lots of real nice toys; saw 4 different Chevron/Calso signs I would really like but looks like I might be priced out of the hobby. Oh well, the thrill of the hunt is the fun part anyway!

Got to the Bash late (10:00 AM) on SAT. Too BAD most sellers left by 9:00 AM. During my short visit , I got to meet : 1- Slama, and Neil Gerrard. One can have a week-long conversation with both! 2- Robert Porter (the west coat sign dealer) + Roy Reed! Love asking Roy about the history of petroliana … 3- Finally got to meet Sir Tom Stover. What a great person to meet & learn from. Both Tom & Fred are so accommodating and made me feel right at home. Tom told me I missed a great dinner held at super collector’s house! Oh well ... Hopefully, next year … (have been saying this since 2006). At any rate, got couple of pictures for ya … It was tough to take pictures + talk + hunt at the same time. Could not concentrate since time was running out as folks were leaving … Tom told me that Tim ( tjhvintage page 3) has taken a lot of pictures. Tim was driving back yesterday, so hopefully, he can get to his camera & share the pictures with us. Vintage one-piece Husky Lense! Tom Stover (Left) (working his butt off)+ Fred StokeBob Porter (L) & Roy Reed

Craig,
You missed the last paragraph of my post above ...
Tom told me that Tim (tjhvintage page 3) has taken a lot of pictures. Tim was driving back yesterday, so hopefully, he can get to his camera & share the pictures with us.

Thanks for the compliments, comments, constructive criticisms, etc. Take a couple of months to decide if we're doing one next year or not. Fred & I aren't getting any younger!!! Glad most of you had a good time & sold lots & bought lots!!!

I did see it, usually there are about three or four people with different takes on what pictures they took and saw. Thanks

Can't quit now Tom. I have to at least be at the last one. I knew if I didn't come it would all fall apart.I would have taken pictures had I been there. Ted

Tom, I hope you do Fred's at least one more year. It was awesome! I look forward to it every year. Maybe what we talked about with continuing it somewhere else could happen after that. Thank you for all your hard work. It was nice talking with you. Thanks again. All my pictures on my phone are missing. I lost the last month of pictures. I had some good ones of the kids too!

Got home late last night, I had a great time at Fred's. If you have never been to one of Fred's shows you are missing it. Even if you don't find that great piece it is worth it to see Fred's stuff. Not to mention going to Kenny's and see his collection and the great food that his family serves.
Also see friends Like Roy Reed which I roomed with and since Roy has lost weight he does not snore anymore (thank goodness). Bob Porter, Phil Miller, Dennis & Dennis, Randy Smith, Uncle Carl, Win, Jerry Olds, many others and of course Fred & Tom.
Great Show.

Bob Porter had the Piper & Stinson Sign. I don't have his contact info, but I'm sure someone does.
