OK,
I am new to the site, This is my first post in the G.D forum. I got these the other day from a guy the other day. I collect Texaco pump plates and I always wanted to get a couple nice 10 by 15 inch plates, as you know, they are the rarest size. I got these home and got in the barn talking about them with friends and a couple people think that are to good to be true. I think they are real, but several peers in the same field are thinking otherwise.
One because of condition is so great
Two, the "R" under the "T" in Texaco instead of REG TM ( Which I think it is just a later year, these plates didn't come out till the 60's.
BTW These pump plates do have proper "shelving" on the porcelain and are dated. 60 and 62
Whats your options, Let here it boys....

Look good to me but I always thought the 8 X 12's were the rare ones.

Thanks! Makes me happy. I find a harder time finding the 10 by 15 inch than the 12 by 8. In my option.

In my opinion that just depends on which 8"x12" you're looking for. The 8"x12" Diesel Chief can be a challenging one to find, and the 8"x14" Sky Chief sign can be a challenge (not to mention the Sky Chief Marine 8"x14" version) to name few.

I am bias however, I LOVE the 8"x12" Texaco pump plates!

Would you post a picture or two of your collection please. You probably have some I have never heard of or seen.

The 10" X 15"- I'm aware of the fire chief & sky chief in this size-
did they have the diesel chief, indian, or anything else in this size?

Randy,

Fire Chief and Sky Chief are the only 10"x15"s I have seen. They're typically dated late 50's early 60's.

The earlier version of the Sky Chief without Supreme was also made in the 10" x 15" size. I am looking for one for my collection.
