Even thought I don't plan on restoring my pump till Spring, I would like to start working on some parts. I would like to remove the computer so that I could clean it up this winter. The end of the side handle that resets the numbers is broken off. My question is how do you disconnect this handle. I think the handle is threaded on. If so can I use a pair of channel locks on the metal shaft and unscrew the handle? Is there anything else I should be aware of? Thanks Everyone on the list has been very helpful.

The handle is threaded on, it's spins off counter clockwise. Gentle persuasion and may a little WD40 loosen it up to spin it off. They are cast, and can break pretty easy, so patience is the word of the day.
Good Luck.......Lance

The crank has reverse threads, so you will need to turn it clockwise to get it off.
