Hello, can anyone who knows a bit more about this particular sign than I do verify if its real? It is heavy porcelain & back of sign is also porcelain. It has 5 mounting holes, three on top two on bottom. I've heard that the fakes had either four or six mounting holes. Thank you.

Don't have a pic of the back, but it looked like black porcelain finish to me.

The only thing that concerns me is the top center mounting hole is below the orange line. On the couple that I've seen sell in Mathews auctions the top center mount hole is elevated a bit & lands in the orange area??

My original like that is in a frame double sided and the middle hole at the top is in the orange higher than the outside two and no holes at the bottom that I can see they may be under the frame.

I'm suspicious of it for these reasons -
Face is so clean and yet all the mounting hole grommets are missing
Mounting holes show wear and chipping that comes across white yet there is no white in the sign colors.
Center mounting hole is out of norm from known good examples.
The eBay ones are way off color, so it isn't one of those at least.
There are a few from Matthews auctions on Liveauctioneers to compare it to.
Another thing that makes me suspicious on these as a group, other than a handful of auctions, I'm not seeing random pictures popping up in general searches of the web. Could these be some pieces produced in the 80s in low quantity?

Camron,
If it's single sided, it's not original.

Thank you all very much, it is single sided & with the hole locations I would conclude its a reproduced version.
