I am sure everyone knows they are faking the standard oil bottles now. Without the little piece of plastic at the top. How can you tell the difference between them? Anyone seen the reproductions they are making and set them next to each other and compared? Thanks

Here is a real vs Fake on Labels are different Bottom is thicker on real one Tops are different The easiest way to tell is the quality of the detail on the glass bottle. Look how crappy the reproduction looks next to the real one. WOW. Now you know...

5 Quart Don had a thread on these a while back, where I mentioned the biggest difference I saw was the originals have the mottled background on the logo whereas the repros did not. A lot of quality issues with the repros for sure! Darin
