I went back to a spot I found a 42in Texaco sign last week. I was using my shovel as a probe just planting it in the ground. Dug up a couple rocks then about a foot to left maybe five inches down I hit a sign. I thought cool a nice little texaco sign...Awesome! Then I found the rest. 15 signs total. Their 15in x 13 1/2in.

Jeremy, I would wait until you have pretty well picked the site clean before posting photos of the station which may identify its location. Anyone with a computer or access to one can go onto oldgas here and read about your good fortune. Unfortunately there are always less than scrupulous people lurking along the fringes who don't have morals when it comes to fraud or theft. This is your lottery win, enjoy it but don't have it stolen from you. Cheers, Don.
ps. Your curved porcelain pump plates were made for round gas pumps roughly from 1930 to 1943 or thereabouts. The guys here can give you an accurate range of what they are going for in today's market.

I dug up another 42 inch single sided Texaco today from the same spot. I took some photos of it being dug. Its rough..the tree roots did damage over the years. If anyone wants to see the pics let me know & I'll post'em.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Mother Nature had ahold of this one good. This was deep. Now Im wondering what else is that far down. The others were on top of this I never noticed it yesterday. This is the second 42in from this spot & the third total.

From what I have seen here, you should have your own show on the History Channel. This is very cool and congratulations to you for working hard to find these things. Thanks for sharing!

Those guys use metal detectors...I am a metal detector. I think alot of the show was set up. I used a metal detector once and hated it. To much stuff in the ground...nails,barbed wired, bottle caps, whatever the list is endless. If the history channel called & asked to do a show Id prob say no thanks. This is what I like to do & I dont need Mike & Frank learnig my moves! Danielle can come dig with me:)

I read a thread last week where you were digging in an old dump site and thought to myself, this guy is nuts? Now I see this post and have to eat some mud pie! Nice score and good on you to get rewarded after a lot of hard work.

Well done. smile

lmao...I mean what else can I say?

The rustynut goes digging and finds a dozen desirable signs that I'm sure everybody now wants. Next week the same old dump is gonna be crawling with little men holding shovels.
