Hi, are you sure the Mobilgas sign is dated 59? The font suggests -39 (IMHO) great sign, btw :-)

I think Claes is correct that the Mobil sign is older than 1959. The serif A in Mobilgas and the Friendly Service slogan was more commonly used in the 30's. I think that sign was on Ebay for a long time if I'm not mistaken. Darin

Picked up this unique Salesmen sample/store display for Indian Automobile shocks...I guess when the motorcycle business was not doing so hot they tried making shocks and did not do well with them either.
