Picked up this pair dated 1-39 this week. Been sitting in a guy's closet for over 30 years-he got them out of the attic of an old Texaco station he leased in the late 70's. They are 10 inchers.

Just picked this up today. 30" two sided porcelain. Found in a creek bed that washed out during the spring storms here in Minnesota.

Here are my BOTW's, 2 Texaco Banjo signs in awesome condition the one on the left is from 4-1936 the one on the right is from 10-1957 and as far as I can tell it was never used as there are no marks from the mounting ring and no chips on any porcelain even on the bolt holes.
The 1936 has a small chip in the top center of the T but other than that only some marks from the ring.

Looks like some nice stuff everyone, good luck on the hunt.

Sorry Clinton but THAT is a verified North Dakota Wayne 800! There were a lot of people chasing it but Powerlube was the winner! Maybe we can move it back here someday! LOL

Fantastic find on that great Gold Medal KUNZ sign!!

I bought a couple of things this week but only want to share this unique Packard spark plug wire repair station thingy. The bracket on the side would have held a crimping tool. The drawer has some spark plug terminals and rubber boots in it.
Don't bother sending me a P.M. Clinton, I already sold it on CL.

Cosdencop,
I am more than familiar with the west Texas winds, but that must have been a doozey to blow all of the pole signs down in your back yard. If it was a twister, they wouldn't all be facing the same direction!

Clinton, Great find. I can tell you are really honing your picking skills!

Hi, are you sure the Mobilgas sign is dated 59? The font suggests -39 (IMHO)

I think Claes is correct that the Mobil sign is older than 1959. The serif A in Mobilgas and the Friendly Service slogan was more commonly used in the 30's. I think that sign was on Ebay for a long time if I'm not mistaken.

WOW...some great scores this week! Love the Texaco Signs...all of them, was surprised Matt didn't score another pump at Fred's and love that Richfield sign as well as the King tune up bench.

Too many things to like in these threads...but thanks for sharing everyone. I took the week off and didn't buy anything more than a couple items off eBay. Can't wait to see what all y'all buy next week.
