Does anyone know if it is possible to convert a National 10 computing pump to the National 30 Apex Clockface?

Should be possible. You'd need different window frames...the computer has the deep dish frames and the clock has shallow frames. Obviously the mech. and the bracket on the inside.

Petro, are you referring to the outer octagonal face plate trim?

Yes. The computer version has very deep dish frames...probably 4" +/-. The clockface bezels are similar to a Wayne 861 bezel...just enough to frame the computer window opening. Hope that helps.

Interesting, my pump has the 10 on the ID tag. Pump is not porcelain. But the octagaon frame is porcelain, probably added from another pump. The frame is small like the model 30. I may possibly have a Model 10 that has had the bezels replaced with model 30's. Only about 1 inch between glass and face plate. Did this pump use standard veeder root or smaller version? Thanks.

They must of have used two computer sizes on the National 10 because I have seen one with the deep bezels and one with the thin bezels.

Thanks, Appears I have the thin bezel version. Any ideas where I may be able to find face plates for the 10?

Post a picture if you get a chance. I've never seen a 10 with shallow frames. I wonder if they converted to the different bezels when they had to change-out the computer??

What is the measurement from Face to Face? 8", 10" or 12".

VR is same as used in Tokheim 36. Wayne 40/40A & Tok 34 uses the 8" VR's. Tok 36B uses a 12" VR's. Now your on the search for a 10" Neptune Clock Mech. Good Luck.

Thanks Dick, I would keep as a 10 if I could find better face plates. It has a veeder root that fits the face plates. your thoughts on thin octagon trim, is it for a 10 or 30?

10 w/ the larger VR, they had to use the thin face bezels. Earlier ones probably had the 8" VR & deeper Bezels. 10 was National's 1st VR pump.
