Another fake pegasus from the same seller.
Still marked T-53 with no way to mount the thing.

Way back when he first started selling them, he told me that he only had the one and was positive it was an original item. Since then he has flooded the market with them. I'm on his blocked buyers list because he didn't like me much!

I've only been in this game 6 months and I've posted several times within threads like this how much I dislike the fake market within this hobby. It perverts the history. Now I have no idea on how to implement such a thing, but there needs to be some kind of nationally accredited and recognized board of petroliana created. Of course with some of the senior members from this site on it. Some how get this board out there. Advertised and accepted within the antique community. Then if your piece is being sold without a letter of accreditation from this board, it must be fake. And of course the letter would have to be created in some way that it cannot be easily faked.
A long shot of course. A total dream even. But it would stop this from going on.

Coldpizza,
You need to go back to English class...
Cause it is not the same spelled backwards lol.
"damm it i'n mad" haha

but anyways this guy doesnt want to be bothered with the guilt of selling a fake and is blocking those that tell him his sh** is fake.

People such as him, feel no remorse or guilt. They are void of moral fiber and a conscience.

Plain and simple...the e-mails are a nuisance for him.

As much as I can't stand that this is happening at some point the buyers have to take some of the responsibility. Buyers need to educate themselves especially if they are goings drop a grand on one. Just look at his previous sales on these signs. I don't think anyone is that lucky to find that many at a local estate sale.

Every time he puts one up--report it to ebay. I know that they have done nothing to him in the past but I've got to believe that repetitive efforts will get noticed!

I'm getting very, very tired of the fake stuff being sold on eBay. There are dealers that go to a show and buy this stuff and don't ask questions about the source then, represent it as real.

I really liken this to Intellctual Property Theft, and/or Art Crimes, or even Sports Collectibles. The FBI has cracked down on all of the above, so I can't see why thy wouldn't investigate if you've been sold something over the net that isn't real.

Here's a link where you can report such fraud: http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

One other note here. There are also plenty of examples of people selling fake purses, with big fines.

At the $$ amount fakes are going for these days, signs are really the same level of crime.
