Only saying post of price may deter tire kickers. Didn;t mean to redirect this topic.
Sell as you wish.

In my opinion.....(LOL) If someone says serious buyers only, they should have a price on it. So if someone is asking $1000, and says "Serious offers" only, don't show up with a $500 offer. If there is no price and you offer what you think is a fair price, then I think the seller should be respectful and say that is too low...but then step up and say what they want for it. On the other hand....if someone says it is for sale and to make a serious offer and they don't have a price. You better go do some homework or just flat out ask them and hope to come to terms. I had an Oldgasser do that to me. I was trying to get a feel of what they wanted for it and they wouldn't say. iImade an offer that I thought was fair and they laughed at and essentially hung up. I bought one for the price I offered the Oldgasser on ebay the following week for about the same price. Being the crabby human I was that week, I sent him a pic.

Oldgas has come along way since I started "lurking" on the site... Unfortunately, IMO, it has moved away from the Collector and towards neophytes looking to make a buck....

Well said Bob... I also agree with KZ & Gulfiend...

I always have thought it meant no window shoppers, tire kickers.

I believe if you do use that phrase in conjunction with something available to buy that a price should be indicated.
