so i have a brass buckeye nossle that i plan on polishing. i went to pull it apart, and everything came off but the large cap over the spring and valve. i was able to get some PB Blaster in it from the inside, and im letting it sit. my question is, can i put some heat to that to crack it loose? i have a small propane torch, but i dont know if it will soften the brass, or discolor it. anyone have any experience with this? thanks.

Just to let everyone know, i was able to use the propane torch to get the cap off. and it did not do any damage to the nozzle body or cap. thanks.
