I bought one just like it except chrome that is on the wall in my collection. I got it at Iowa gas for 250 a few years back. It was rebuilt and works like new.

Thanks
Mike

Wow! Looks like I need to sell mine! That's crazy money! I gave $175 for this one and it works and has the key. I have it in my garage.

Possibly as long as it is still connected to an original wood phone booth in perfect condition. When I see auctions like that I can't help but think something is not right.

That is just stupid! Who??.....ah nevermind! I work for a phone company and I have 3 of those that are in nicer condition than that one. Wow! I got 2 of mine for free and gave $60 for the other one. I have sold several also and they only bring around $200 with keys. Something ain't right. Maybe mine are up next on feebay!

My father worked for Il. Bell for almost 50 years.
Decades ago...circa 1988....in downtown Chicago, the Merchandise Mart was remodeling, and wanted nearly 25 wooden museum quality phone booths with glass doors & pay phones inside,to be hauled away to the dump.
My Dad & his fellow line men heard about it,and all drove over there at noon to remove each & every one for free.
He has 4 of them lined up in his basement today, looking similar to Bruzer75,only a darker wood with a lil graffiti here & there.

When you step inside & close the door, their light comes on,fan comes on,and phones dial, just as designed.
These are really a lost part of our society I hope we never forget.
