Maybe--but there has been a lot of work already done!
I must be getting old as I remember when you could buy a nice one for $3500!

Just try to get all 12 of those hinges lined up right. Each one bends a little different. There was one on here last year I believe done in Texaco silver with a station light, nice looking pump.

Nice pump, I agree that it's price beyond what it's worth. I'd rather buy one that is still all together versus in boxes.

My comment was in response to other comments that the pump was high when it was at $3000 in the auction.

I couldn't see spending $10k on that pump even if it is restored. There is a double visible restored on ebay which could be bought for $12.5k. Much more collectable and nicer to look at IMO.

So I might have ended up with the old piece of sh*t that DB once owned...
Now why don't you sell me the Mohawk since I'm acquiring your junk LOL.

Do you have a picture of the Starkey? My old one is in the book from Mathew's. Different parts of the country will have more of them then the other as far as Wayne 71's it seems. Thus I believe the value difference, just as Simplex is worth more on the West coast then the east. Where there is less and more collectors the price is more flexible.

The MOHAWK frying pan that I seen in one of your pictures, it would look good on the Starkey!!
Do I need to come to CA and bring you some x-mas money? What airport is closest to Santa Paula where you can pick me up?

You'd be surprised what I can afford. You need to put a price on it, then I'll come and get it.

If you can't price it...
then attach pictures of each side so I can see condition and I'll make you an offer you can't refuse.
