Could anybody supply me with info on an old Wayne model 505 pump I just acquired? It is an old Texico pump with the old paint removed. I received two old texico decals with it and wish to refurbish it but do not know what color to paint it. Does anybody know the paint numbers for this style pump.

For paint codes go to your local auto paint store (I like to use DuPont Centari so I go to the DuPont store) and ask them to look up Texaco in their Commercial (sometimes called the Fleet) book. You will find a number of codes for Texaco Red. Have them pull up those numbers on the computer. Each code will have a date in the computer as to when the paint code was put in use. Use the oldest date. Your pump came out in 1951 and was produced until 1956. If you have have a 505 Duo, they were made until February of 1959. If you would like an original ad or the service/parts manual that was in the box with the pump, I have some for sale. You can contact me at: jhsim@swbell.net
