What are the correct colors for a Supertest pump. I have always tought that orange would be the right color for that brand but I got a white one lately... Did they have both colors?

Is it the same colors for the "Hi Compression" gas pumps and other Supertest brands?

Anyone can help on this please?

mMike:

According to the 'the Book' - 1930's - 1950's Supertest pumps were painted as follows:

"For visible pumps: Pump is painted orange, with black base, beltline and top. For clock and calculating pumps: Pump sides and base are black, with orange doors. Black band around base up 12" on pump body (visible) or doors (electric). Supertest logo decal centered on pump door or lower body. Product identification by globe, and indeed many twin visible pumps were used, with only the globe indicating product position."

Now for pumps in the 1950's - 1960's, the book states:

"Solid orange pump with white banner decal diagonally across door. Lettering on decal reads either 'Regular' or 'Premium' with a smaller 'Super' decal above Premium."

I have a Gilbaro 96 pump that was originally Supertest. It has a black top and base, the rest was orange.

Here is a photo, I hope. I have since put a Supertest Wonder gas globe on it. I purchased this from Pogo Gas. Hope this helps. I also have a visible, Canadian Vulcanizer if you need a shot of it.

Nice pump.... The colors were the same with the Wonder gas globe?

I saw the Wonder gas and Hi-Compression globes on Pogo's website. Man, they look great!

If you don't mind posting pictures on the site, I am always intereted in looking at them...

Thank you
Mike
