Here's some before and after pictures I took late last week......

The man-cave done been dismantled!! And just to let you all know....no, I'm not dieing or otherwise in poor health....as far as I know. My wife and I have decided to move back to Texas to be closer to our son and grandson, and the move will likely involve considerable down-sizing (no man-cave in the new house). The good folks from Matthews Auctions now have the collection, and you can all see it again at the auctions in Columbus and Des Moines in June and August. Be on the lookout for the catalogs on the Matthews website soon.....some 400+ lots you'll have a chance to add to your collections.

Looks like a great collection, I would hate to see it go. Are you keeping any of it at all? I know I would want to keep one or two small items or ones with a good story about how I got them.

Yes Wes, I'm keeping 3 globes, 2 signs, and a half-dozen cans. Plus, I gave my grandson 5 tin toy trucks/boxes he liked the best and one sign my son especially likes.

Wow Richard...I didn't think I'd see this auction coming for many years. I can't imagine getting rid of a collection that took so many years to build, but sometimes life has other plans and we go where it takes us. I wish you the best in your new home and the extra time you're going to get with the family being close together. This doesn't give me nearly the time to save up for your auction as I thought I'd have! wink

Yea, what Scott said. What did you keep and why? This is something I often wonder about my collection. If I could only keep a few items which ones would they be?
That was an amazing collection you had accumulated!
