Srs, I don't know about foster freeze signs, never bought one, but did a quick look on worthpoint.com and there appears to be many different versions of quart signs, cone signs, sundae signs. All very cool, prices all over, and many in too nice of shape! In an older post an old gas member sounds off about fake foster freeze signs, maybe you can PM him?

If you learn something, please share here, I live in foster freeze areas and would be nice to be able to spot fakes!

If you mean the small porcelain ones, most sold on Ebay are fakes.

I wouldn't buy any of those on ebay, like he said 99.9% repops. From my understanding there are 5 different signs.

If you wanted to collect Fosters signs I would start by finding original photos of the stores, original ads, etc and carefully comparing font, quality of layout, etc with what signs are offered.

As Tbirdgas stated most of these signs on eBay are fakes. The quality of most of the signs when you compare them look more like 1980's or newer production. The tradecraft skills are not apparent in the layout and tend to look more like computer driven imaging.

Collecting anything keeps you young at heart!
