A Glass Company would NEVER send that Glass in a Cardboard Box, they would have crated it in a Wood Box.

Noah, Call paypal and file a complaint, and tell them your case. They are always for the buyer. More than likely you will get your money back or credit, If the seller cooperates.

Good luck.

This is why when I buy a globe from eBay and I don't no the seller I always tell them how to pack the globe and I tell them that I will pay for the extra packing to make sure it makes it to me in one piece. I did get a globe that ups packed one time when it arrived the metal ring was sticking out if the box and you could hear the glass. The ups driver didn't say much but he knew I wasn't happy. Good luck it's sucks when a piece of history is lost do to poor packing.

Originals only for me. Always looking for Simpson oil, Super A, and MFA oil cans and globes.

Sending that glass w/ just a stamp would have been safer, than the way it was packaged!

I know that seller. I bought a bunch of pumps from him several years ago but hadn't seen him on EBay in a long time. He was a good guy when I dealt with him. I'll bet you will get the matter resolved but I'm surprised he packed them where they would get broken. But hey, UPS can tear up anything! Our rep once told us that our packages should withstand a fifty pound box dropped on them from three feet to be safe from "handling incidents". And damaged goods are NEVER their fault. Every time I buy a globe or anything glass and have it shipped I hold my breath til it is unpacked in one piece.......

before you send it back, I would verify in writing that you will get your origial purchase price, and shipping both ways refunded.

Ebay and Paypal policy is that the buyer pay return shipping, in which case you will be out 9.00 shipping back and have nothing. See if seller will just refund your money without return. After all, what good is it to the seller.

As a seller myself, all I ever ask is that you send me a picture of the damage just to make sure it was really damaged. Then I refund the original purchase price and original shipping. That way the buyer is out nothing and I never want something back that the shipping service has already destroyed!

Just a heads up. Plus the 'return policy' on your item says 'no returns'.

just get it in writing. IMO

NO RETURNS doesn't mean Squat when using PayPal. IF PP says return w/ confirmation, you get a FULL REFUND INCLUDING Postage.

oh I have been on the recieving end of this stuff too!

My experience has been you won't get your return shipping.

just saying...why go thru the hassle of returning something if the seller really is not gonna have any use for anyway. If they are good sellers they will agree. IMO

Damage is most always because of Poor Packaging, Not UPS, Fedex, or USPS.

I agree a lot with you KZ. Unless the UPS,Fed Ex or USPS driver throws the box like it is a football out of the back of the truck to the ground. Have heard many horror stories like that too.
