Wonder if anyone has one of these that has a complete face on it.

Both are made by neon products,by patent, late thirties, early forties.i think these were built like my sealed power spinner, with two plates of glass sandwiched together, thus helping destroy the actual images .as you can see,one was a spinner, but mine was not.never had a motor mounted

It is possible the face on mine is not original to the body.(face and body were in a box, with other stuff, when bought)and yes, these were displayed with the transformer box up,has hanging brackets and slot on back of box

I have found out there was a " Rex oil" out of North Carolina, but I'm thinking my face was maybe an owners name instead of brand? and after a google search i found a rex fuel oil in levittown PA. we' ll see if they reply to my email. appreciate any info or comments.pics would really rock! Thanks, mick

Mick- I dont know if its just me, but this sounds kind of confusing. Sounds like your talking about three different items or at least there are pictures of two different signs. Maybe seperate them.
If the picture of the back shown is the same item as the one with the illusion wheel (or whatever you call the spinner),it looks like the motor and works have been removed. No?

Sorry Jim,the one with the spinner(illusion wheel) is just another example of the same type of sign.all other pics are of the one I have. It has never had a motor, has a block off plate.what I'm trying to figure out is what was in the center.both have only clear glass. That's what gives me the idea that there may have been a second glass with a design or advertising on them.the reason I think this is because the teardrop would have illuminated something in the center?. As far as I can tell, neither was a clock .hope this clarifies a bit.
