It's blowing my mind!!! love the story.

About 5 years ago I had gotten sick of kicking this box around in my shop that had an old holly 4bbl carburetor in it so I called my friend who rebuilds mine and asked if he wanted it for parts or whole as it was pretty much complete to which he said he had enough ***** sitting around. So I blew the 15 years of dust and dirt off it and cleaned off the numbers and boom... I relize it's a 69 Camaro Z/28 carb. ( I have owned quite a few 67-69 Camaros thru the years) So here is a carb that I have long forgot where it came from and it was only used on 69 Z/28's and 427 Corvettes so on to e-bay it goes. I went to bed on the last night and it was at 400 with two hours to go and got up the next morning and it had sold for 1400..... Sometimes it just sits there in the corner and you just don't know what you got!!!
The best part was telling my Carb guy who says he will never turn down a freee gift again.

Thanks
Mike

To rich for my blood. But as a Sunoco guy and knowing that this sign was right in my back yard, it sure was fun to watch.
Beautiful piece Sunoco history!!!

...it's a nice sign - but that's a LOT of money, for that sign...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Now is the buyer an Old-Gas member??? Heck of a nice sign, and a hard to find sign that at least a few people wanted badly. 10 years from now will it be a nice buy?? makes me wonder sometimes!!

Thanks
Mike
