I plan on going to Michigan Gas in May. I've never been to a gas meet before and am wondering if one day is enough or as a non-vender does it take two days.I would like to wander around, buy a couple things and just meet some of the guys from this site.

Be there 10 minutes before the vendors arrive, watch what they take out of their ferraris and mercedes ( and maybe if they are slumming, a rolls) and make offers. then leave 10 minutes later a winner. waiting around only prolongs the agony.

Go both days. Whenever possible I try to go out dinner with some collector friends after the first day of a show, or take a tour of a collection if there's a nearby collector willing to show off his stuff. Anyone that goes to a show just to buy or sell is missing out on alot of fun. Make it a social event too. Bob

Jeff: Does Carol know that you come with a new friend everytime? That's why you always tell me to find my own way home. Cheese, we need to keep an eye on him this time.

Well pumpman I would have to say I have been away from pumps, meets and auctions for about 7 years and if your are coming, come for it all start to finish. I have never been to the michigan gas in May but I will be there from start to finish. Either the wife will be in to it or she will have a great weekend home alone. Hope to see you there. John

Jerry , these guys are right, If you can be there for the entire show do it, some venders don't show till the second day anyway ,It'll give you a chance to meet us all. Bigtcola ,jeffsautomobilia, T-way, Dick Mills ,Larry Robertson, Walt Figer,Worriergas, we'll all be there ,It's a great show , The Cheeseman go's all out on this one, you won't be disapointed.
