I bought a 5 foot round sign in it's frame. What's the best way to ship? I've had larger signs shipped by both UPS and Fedex before. This guy says it can only be shipped freight! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!Bob

Where is the sign located?
I have used Craters and Freighters once. I guess I would use them again. I have mixed feelings. The packing job was truly awesome, but they charged me $265 to ship the sign. I found out from the freight co (Yellow Frieght) that they only paid them 88 bucks.
Also, the sign had a ding on one corner that was not there in the auction pics, so I think that happened when C&F picked it up and hauled it to thier place before it was crated. No way to prove it, bothers me some...
But, they are nice to deal with, and pack the thing well.
Just some thoughts...
If I were you I'd try to find a way to get an oldgas member to transport it.
Wes

Have UPS or FedX pick it up at sellers address. Doesn't have to be boxed. db

Neither UPS or FedX will take a 5' sign. The best way is Forward Air, they will pick it up at your place and deliver it to the other place. Last time I used them for a 6' x 4' coke sign it cost only $125.00. I think I had gotten the name of Forward Air from Dick Bennett

I use Fed Ex Freight. They will pick it up unwrapped & deliver it to your door. They do charge a $50 pickup fee & I have not used them for a few months so I cant help you on price.

I don't believe tha Fedex will charge a pick-up fee if you have an account with them. Jack Sim
