Guys - Need help to identify the wording on a 4" gold band decal that goes under the ad glass on a Bennett pump that I am restoring to a Sinclair Power - X Over 100 Octane theme. Decal supposedly has some product information on it. Pump I am talking about can be found in the "Guide To Gas Pump Restoration" book on page 186. Any help in finding out what info is on the gold band decal would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Steve

Dick - Thanks for the reply. That's the problem, have nothing to go by other than the pump picture in the restoration book. It is not a standard decal - only used them for the PowerX Over 100 Octane pumps made from 1959-1961> I have never seen a pump restored to this particular style and since I also collect Sinclair I thought it would be need to have one like it.

Dick - Yes, top right in the restoration book. It is the pump that says "Super High Test" "No Price Penalty". Above that decal is the gold band that I am trying to find out what information is on the decal so I can have one made. Any thoughts on where I can find it? I heard that a fellow by the name of Wendell White who at one time was the HR Manager for Sinclair has tons of archived information which may include pumps. He is retired and I haven't been able to track him down. Any suggestions? Thanks! Steve

Dick - Sorry, the picture of the pump is in the second edition of the Guide To Gas Pump Restoration. Again, on p. 186 upper right side of page. Steve
