hi, i'm a newbie on the site.i poked around here for a few weeks and found the site very informative!i recently bought a pump i believe is a gilbarco 98 shortened into a farm/industrial pump (my first pump!)it has the holes in the frt and rear covers for three aluminum trim strips,the bottom one's were filled over.it is in great shape,except of course for the top. can any one give me any info on this please? i got it for $20.00 ten minutes before it went to the scrapyard!

Wow - I have not run into any of those in my drives. But that price is GREAT and you saved it from the junk yard!

If that is a two piece top, like on the 96, they do have a rust problem. I know that some of the guys here have just "glued" the two pieces together, a little bondo, primer and paint, sloved the problem. The trim strips are stainless steel, and are available through a couple of different suppliers here. You will need the backing pieces for these though. Maybe somebody makes, or has some of those....
