I just purchase a home on an acre. Apparently the property was the main house on a larger orchard. I found in some trees what I think is a Fuel or kerosene pump ( hand). Ill try to get photo, but was wondering if this is a oh no moment. Are these typically associated with a large tank? Best I can tell from searching the hand pump is circi 50's. Any chance it could be a water pump. The well pump ( modern) is about 25 ft away.

Welcome to Oldgas.com! You`re at the right place. Post some pictures and we`ll have you informed to the point where you`ll be able to differentiate between a water pump and a gas/kerosene pump in no time.
