I am just wondering if anyone has been burned by one of the fake curved so called visible pump signs or if you have access to one? Maybe someone you know got burned. If I could get photos and correct size on one or more I will list them and expose this costly scam. I know there are Cushman motor scooters, Harley Davidson can, Mohawk, Shell, Texaco and probably more I am not aware of.

...there have been several 12" 'That Good Gulf Gasoline' signs 'curved' and offered as original...they are exactly the same signs (just rolled and aged) as the repros that are always on eBay:

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Pick up any of the vendor catalogues such as Webers, Vic's, and others. You will get a complete list of available signs with dimensions and pricing and plctures. Most are 19.95. Even the site for American Pickers has the repros on their site for sale.Cracker Barrel has been selling them for years and they have a catalogue also. I have had copies of these and others catalogues for years to study and know whats out there. To get a broad range of what is out there you will need to get several vendors catalogues. Its the ones that are not in those books that are going to be a problem, like the Texacos that are dated, etc.

Thanks for the link, great info. but not what I am looking for. The signs I am looking for are artificially aged, rusted and curled to look like it went on a visible or pole. I will look at what Vic's has to offer maybe I can find them there.
I looked at Vic's and Weber's catalogs no luck. They offer the Cushman and Harley die-cuts but not rolled to look like a visible pump sign.

The signs that you see on ebay came from a source such as
Vics or Webers and were aged by the seller {or theif}. Everything was mint once. Then it was put a roll in a shop and given that rolled look. The reason that you can do that is because the porcelain is so thin it will give without popping off. Most if you look closely though will show signs of stress cracking when rolled. Then a few whacks to chip it, pour salt water on it or any other agent to oxidize it, bury it for a while and BINGO, 50 year old sign.

Slip roll as wocopep said, but a little at a time.
Would take too much Heat & that would distort the graphics.
That is another reason that when signs are "Restored" they use a Bondo type Filler & Repaint the area/entire sign.
Just like w/ ceramics, different colors of FRIT flow at different temps.
