I know that this is a no-no but could not help myself, someone may want it. This is before and after, got this a couple of weeks ago. It was in the ugly sign post.

It's been a while since I posted in botw, I finally had a good week. Picked up the first three globes at CTO pre bought a few months ago. The repro blue ripple and the energee globe came from the show.

Bought 2 of the coolest signs I've wanted since I first laid eyes on them. Red Head is embossed tin and one I'm so happy to get. Hard to believe I could get a cooler sign but (sorry Ray) the Gilmore was coming to Indiana. Check out the close up of the cut out tin claw holding the still full glass oil tube. Sure it's toast. I've seen an NOS one, but it will do until a better one comes along. Got the Oldfield flange for the one sided flange wall at auction as well.

I had a pretty good week too but I wasn't at Columbus!
The KOOLMOTOR sign was in an antique Mall in another state and another Old Gasser from this site clued me onto it! Both sides are a little different!
The Delco thermometer and the Pedrick Rings cabinet came from one of last weeks estate auction sales. Both were terribly dirty and grimy when I bought them but they both cleaned up very well!

I have not had much time to update in the past two weeks but I have had some pretty good finds. The Pepsi cap was at a yard sale and was a great find for me I have been looking for one for a while. I sold a old clock and clock this new one and I finally got some Cincinnati oil cans, a nice gulf can, a thermo can, and my favorite of all the Nourse can.

Great buys everyone! Columbus was great as always!

Bought the Kennmore quart on the right from a fellow Oldgas member at the show and when I got home and compared it to the one Dad had in his collection found out there were two versions of this can! You learn something every day...

Got these two sweet porcelain signs at CTO/Columbus (Great Show) and the Penn Drake arrived at home Thursday. The grease cans were a room to room impulse buy that I blame on the free booze wink

Had a good time at the Columbus Oil Can Show. Bought a few more things to add to the collection.
Oil Well lease sign, possibly the long lost "John Boy Walton" well...?

A Men's Sanitized rest room sign. This went with the bigger Sinclair sanitized rest room sign that was used in the 1950's I believe;

An oil or grease pump, you can still make out part of the old Sinclair logo on it. Note to self, make sure it is empty or stays in the full upright position for the ride home in the back of the truck

A Power - X porcelain "pump plate" from a newer chrome pump. I had several of the others but did not have this one.

A couple cans I did not have. A big thanks to Tom for holding them for me the last few months.

A one piece etched Sinclair Gasoline globe from the 1920-1929 time frame

Here are two of our buys from this past week. My dad bought this killer hand painted Garage sign. These were made by the Ithica sign company, probably from the teens. I was able to pick up this Carburetor display, time to start rounding up carbs.. Picked up some other stuff in the non-petro BOTW..

Enjoy, Keith

I wish I had bid on that sign (Texaco Distributor) at the auction Saturday!!Wasn't paying close enough attention. This is likely a "one of a kind". Congratulations on a great sign buy.

I received today this wonderful texaco calendar, it's from 1934 and it's new old stock, it was never used before and came with it's original envelope

it has already found it's place on the wall

A Bennett 76, National A-38, two Tokheim 36B tops and a quart oil jar all from the Columbus show. First time there and found everyone to be exceptional nice. Look forward to going next year.

Dick,

I'll never have a tower to match yours, just trying to put tops on a couple of pumps that were scalped. Does the A-38 look familair?
