I had someone send me this pump picture. She wants to sell the pump. Too far for me to go for a Wayne 70. But I have never seen this Texas Mobil pump sign.
How rare is this? Even in Texas?

Not very rare, that's typically what you see around here. 1" bigger than the other ones.

Feel free to turn me onto the pump though.

What was he getting for them?
She does not know what she wants for the pump. It's located on a farm in Katy, TX.

The last pump I referred someone to ended up with a never before seen Wilshire pump globe lens.

Pump plate is worth $125.

Brother in law lives in Katy...

But yeah maybe we could work something out.

I will contact the owner and get back to the interested parties if she wants me to pass on her information.
I sent her the information out of Jack's book.

Guys I don't mind helping people who are looking for buyers on pumps like this. The pump I was contacted about some time back with the, as Scott Benjamin put it, "NEVER BEFORE SEEN" Wilshire globe lens was going to the junk pile. Too far for me to go, so I passed it on. We get these leads every week from all over the country.
I don't want to see this stuff end up in a junk yard!o
However I must say I am not really comfortable passing on a seller to someone who will not fill in ANY of the profile information. If that offends some people, I am sorry, but I have no idea who I would be sending to the seller.
I have emailed the person and IF she wants me to pass on all interested parties I will. Just be willing to pay her a FAIR price.

Haha

I'm not too worried bout a Wayne 70, esp. with orders from a seller to pay a "fair" price.

Ill pass. Good luck on future Wilshire lenses

I don't know much about the pump plate/rarity but will add that McMath Axilrod was a pretty prominent porcelain sign maker in the day. They made alot of OK signs for GM under the marking McAx.
