I am interested in identifying the maker or makers of the various Standard Oil Crowns. I know there were lots of globe makers (Cincinnati Globes, Glass Decorating Co., Cincinnati Beacon Globes, Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company.....) but have not found any paper evidence on who the crown makers were.

Any NOS-in-the-box crown owners who can shed any light on this?

The one I have still in the original box came from Cincinnati Advertising Products Company. CAPCO It was shipped from Standard OIl Company in Omaha, NE at 14 and Locust on Sept. 13, 1957 to a station in Kimball, NE for 89 cents postage. Mitch

Thanks Mitch. What color crown is it, and does it have "slashes" or "darts" around the lower band?

It's a red crown and has slashes. First time I've had it out of the box in years. Mitch
