I'M LOOKING FOR A FIRE CHIEF PUMP SIGN WITH THE ROUND ETHYL SIGN AS PART ON THE SIGN.(DOES THAT MAKE SENSE) I'VE ONLY SEEN THEM IN OLD TEXACO ADS AND PICTURES, BUT THEY WERE NOT VERY CLEAR. I'M HOPEFUL SOMEONE CAN HELP WITH THIS. AT LEAST LET ME KNOW IF THEY EXIST.

I know what you're talking about, but have never run across the genuine article. They would have to be pretty few and far between. FIRE-CHIEF replaced "TEXACO Gasoline" (and FIRE-CHIEF Ethyl replaced "TEXACO Ethyl") in '32, and Sky Chief replaced FIRE-CHIEF Ethyl in '38. There probably weren't very many such pump plates made.

Hey Jim, did you bid on that Texaco ethyl in the auction, I've only seen a couple of thoughs , thats the ones with the texaco sign at the top and the ethyl at the bottom, and Larrys still got the 1940 matching Fire chief pump plates that were on the pump I got for him, He was going to trade them to the guy in Canada but the guy welched on the deal, if youe interested give him an email,
