Since someone has asked what the mistake is, I will post it here. I had offered a free copy of my Air Meter book if anyone found it, but no one did.
On page 166, the Erie 771 and the 991 are shown. The caption under the 771 should be under the 991 and vice versa. I don't know who made the mistake, me or the editor, but I found it right after the book was published.
Also the Butler visible shown in the center of the bottom of page 131, is probably not a Butler. The same pump is shown in the McDonald section and my assumption was that Butler actually made the pump. I think I made the wrong assumption.
While I have found better dates for when some pumps were introduced, I don't feel these were mistakes, as I had to use my best judgment when I figured the date out. In the front of the book, I mentioned that some might be wrong, but they would be correct within a few years.
Here are a few thing you can look forward to:
More American pumps
A few more Bennett pumps
Some Blair pumps
A few more Bowser pumps
A few more Clear Vision pumps
Crawford pumps
Many, many more Dayton pumps
An Easton pump
A few more Erie pumps
A Ferro pump
Many more G&B pumps
A Godshalk pump
A new Hawkeye-Dart pump
New Hayes pump
New Ideco pump
New Inglis pump
Many, many Keese Pumps
More Kew-Ideal pumps
New Lancer-Hallett pump
Better display of M&S - Wayne 80 tops
New Milstone pump
Many more Milwaukee pumps
A great new picture of the National BM-1 display pump
3-4 new National Pumps
Many more Pennsylvania Penometer pumps
Some Rheem pumps
2 new Southern pumps
New Springfield (Ill.) Manufacturing Pump
A couple of new Tokheim pump, but mostly new color pic to replace b&w ones
New Vanforden Co. oil dispenser that looks like a visible pump
Mostly better pictures in the Wayne section
Many more Western Pump Co. pumps
I am also accumulating a few pictures of unknown pumps, that I will post here hoping someone out there will be able to identify them.
I am also working on a new Air Meter pump, I hope to present it to Krause Publishing Co. soon. I have identified over 400 different air meters, but I believe the figure is near 450. Most will be in color.
God this is fun.

Hi Jack,
For me, trying to learn as many names & numbers of pumps as I can, your book has truly been a life savor to say the least. Sure, I wish that every pump I bought that you had spent more time & detail on, but isn't that just the way it is! If you have a ton of someting red, they want blue... HA HA. Looking forward to what ever you put to print! Thanks, Elden

I Don't know Jack...that so-called mistake you say you made on pg.166 is so insignificant I couldn't possibly detect it.
The Erie pumps look the same except for the angle! Just my 2 cents on an otherwise "perfect" BIBLE!

Due to an agreement with the publisher, I can't publish the picture until after the book is released. There are some in the Book now, look under Beacon Equip.
