Have a problem with a couple of things on ebay and need some advice. Purchased an item on ebay, paid for it imediately, happy with item. Seller left negative feedback on me, no reason, guess he didn't like my money
During this same time he was high bidder on two items I had on ebay. He refuses to pay for the items, but he left me negative feedback for both. No reason given for negative feedback on both things.
What do I do now?

Sounds like somebody with a grudge for some reason. Give them negatives back with a reasonable explanation. Future buyers should be able to see what happened.

You need to file a non paying bidder with ebay first , get them in the process. That way he will get two non paying strikes against him , you can always put negative feedback later.

Jack, in certain cases you can have feedback removed. Can also do an number of things regarding non-paying bidders and fees for same etc. Start here and read then click on the a-z index on the left. You should find answers to most all your concerns there. http://pages.ebay.ca/help/feedback/questions/feedback-removal.html

I never leave negative feedback, don't believe in it, quit doing it 2-3 years ago, only starts a p........ contest. Wish I could state in my ebay descriptions "Don't leave me feedback, I don't leave feedback" but I know this would only lead to more problems than it is worth. I believe I read in the feedback pages that purchasing an item to leave negative feedback is a violation of Ebay policy. Will find out soon, as I will submitting a request for return of fees and removal of the negative feedback. If anybody is interested, I'll let you know what happens. Jack Sim

Watch Jack said I believe whole heartly. Ebay has a major problem with Feedback Policys, I have sold over 3000 plus items on ebay and left feedback as soon as the buyer has paid for the item as it is designed to work, I have been filed non-buyer claims also, I have gotten in the past year do not left feedback first anymore. I believe in ebay but No longer will I be the first to leave positive feedback just to get a negative without a email. In short just a P------- Match.

Jack: I have been on ebay for over 10 years. You have gotten some goof advice on the credit for fees. Good luck on trying to get them to remove feedback. Hope it works. But, as much as it is a pain, leave appropriate feedback. It may not help you, but may help the next person on whether they want to deal with the person either as a buyer or seller. Even though you are taking one for the team, feedback can be a good tool. I have by passed a couple of sellers auctions based on feedback.

I personally like jkyocom's advice but I'd see what Ebay can do for you first. I hate to see your working on your new book from a jail cell. ------------------ Chuck Signs Wanted: Sunset, Clipper, Habor, Indian, Powerlube, Beacon, Sinclar Aircraft

Jack, in addition to my earlier post would like to add or remind you that you can also leave a response, rebuttal or follow up on your feedback page, to their negative feedback comments. In most cases it can help to offset there negative blurb if worded properly. read here sir to learn more... http://pages.ebay.ca/help/feedback/responding-to-feedback.html [This message has been edited by cdncon (edited 11-23-2007).]

Jack, First of all...Take a deep breath... I know it's frustrating BUT you can do a few things to remove the 2 retalitory feedbacks he left you! Read this as you DEFINATELY qualify! http://pages.ebay.com/help/feedback/questions/retaliatory-feedback.html Follow the steps and BOTH retalitory negatives will be removed! Then after you've gotten them 2 removed... Try Mutual Feedback Removal for the first one! Read this... http://pages.ebay.com/help/feedback/questions/mutual-withdrawal.html If he refuses the mutual removal then try ebay safe harbor...I believe they charge 20 bucks but they are good at reasoning with knuckleheads...haha ~Good Luck!~ ------------------

I believe if you file the non-paying bidder complaint with e-Bay and the "buyer" does not respond e-Bay will remove the two negatives he left for you the seller. I see this all the time on e-Bay where the feedback has been removed and it states: "Buyer did not respond to non-paying bidder".
File the non-paying bidder against the yahoo immediately. The two non-paying bidder strikes, as another oldgas member mentioned, are a heck of a lot more trouble for this person than two negative feedbacks.

You are such a deadbeat, Jack--just kidding! =:> ) A note to eBay about the whole affair and let it go. Whatever happens after that, happens. If you ask, maybe they will remove the less than stellar comment about you. Dave Folck

As long as your positive feedback outweighs the negative I would not worry. You can't please everyone, no matter how hard you try. Feedback is mearly an opinion, undocumented at that.
