I need to make the Tokheim 34 stair steps for the face. So I am asking for one from a 36B because they are more readily available. If you have one you can get me measurements on that would be great or a one you can loan me. Even just a piece so I know the off sets to bend.

Thanks Larry

I think I have some. I may have sold them. I will check. I think they have the same bends as a 36 just longer.

This probably will not help much. I converted to the early face and that is how I had extra ones.

OK. I've had several 34's over the years & now have 5. I've never seen those. Had to call Willis & ask! laugh

I looked and could not find them. I did measure from the outside of the door the hight the face pan on a 34 and a 36B. they are both 14 1/2 inches. The stair step trim for a 36B should be a near to exact fit.

BUT, the placement of the screws is wrong I "think"? The screw holes on a 34 should be 3/4 inch from each end. Somebody check a 36B! But I think the 36 is closer than that. I'll call GPH tomorrow.

The screw holes are different that's why I had to have mine made.
36B's are about 1/4" - 3/8" tops from the end.

There is a way to use 36B parts. Measure out the distance from the face plate to the stair step and add the thickness of the face pan.
Then go buy a male/female two piece screw, "I forget the name of them". Drill a hole through the face pane where the stair step hole is, then put the female portion through that hole and epoxy the head in place to the back of the pan. Then I used a chrome screw to mount the stair steps to that.
I had to do that on one place where the factory stud had broke off.
If this sounds confusing send me an e mail and I will send a pic of the part I'm talking about. After reading your post I remembered I had to do one that way.

Matt, I was thinking Larry needs measurements of the stair steps so he can fabricate new ones, if so I do have the steps for the early 36. I'm guessing you're saying the steps themselves are a different dimension.

34 face pans are taller the the 36A, but so close to same as 36B. Mounting holes for side trim are in different place on 34 vs the 36B.
