This building was a warehouse or bulkplant way back when. I have been inside many times nothing other than the stone placque above the door. Would be neat to have it.

A friend of mine was having a car show tonight so I stopped in. I liked how he displayed a few of the signs by bending them around the beams.

Yes Alan

Also, received the maps just haven't had a chance to study them in detail yet. Another member sent a PM looking for some info and I'll answer them shortly. Thanks again for the gift Alan. Very much appreciated!

Went on a little road trip today for work and found some really cool places along the way, Enjoy..

An old Texaco Station

The inside and a cool old light still hanging, anyone ever seen one or is it just a regular light that has some star designs?

The place was littered with old receipts and checks from the 1930's sad to see it in such disrepair soon it'll probably be gone.

Also found this sweet Studebaker Sign that thing was beautiful but HUGE!!

A "reproduction" Conoco Station full of original signage, uniforms and pumps very cool,

More Texaco..

My kind of used car lot. Must go back when I can stop in for a visit. I passed this place and had to turn around and go back for a few quick shots. Does this belong to an "old gasser"? Lawrenceburg, IN.

So the other night my wife and I go out to dinner and we go in a direction that we dont often go. Out along South River Road along the Clinton River. And I took a rought home through Mt Clemens Mi. that I seldom have a need to go. And then all of a sudden there it was. Only about 2 miles from my house and I never knew it was there. To the right the building had been added onto and it was functioning as a working car repair place. Or at least that's what it looked like.

Great pictures everyone , like the car lot one for sure. The texaco pole sign looks like they torched it off and welded them up a lighted sign , guess back then the stuff was plentiful ?

Squirrel Hill Community Church "Gospel Station" with Tokheim 39 gas pumps on Hwy 67 in Conway, Arkansas. Says, "Fill up with God's Word" by the pumps.

I was at that MAJOR GAS sign last year in July.

It sucks that they took away the art deco building that was under the MAJOR GAS sign. I wish I could have hauled it home. I was unable to get inside that building.

Here are my photos of it:

Did you go inside the abandoned service station next to that sign belonged to? I went inside and took lots of pics.

Cool building glad you got a picture of it before it was gone. This stuff is disappearing every day. My brother most likely has pictures with the building. He has traveled all over and taken many thousands of pictures. When we stopped he said he had pictures of this sign and had been there before.
It was just a vacant lot all around the sign and that fireworks store across the way.

The "double ended" car is located in Rawlins Wyoming on the west end of town and yes it is drivable.
Seen it many times passing through to go back home to see Family in Green River Wy and Salt Lake City UT

Good ol' Rawlins you probably got a picture of the only thing worth photographing in the entire town.
I usually stop and fill up at the Flying J west of town just to avoid it, lol...

Hey Travis,
Small world isn't it? Before coming to Greeley I lived in Cheyenne for 7 years and spent all my weekends in Laramie fishing up in the Snowy Range of course that was before I was bit by this hobby now as most of us do I'm always spending time looking for another piece for the collection. Lol..
Have a great weekend.

The price of gas was a little steep at this station,2.399 per half a gallon. So that's 4.798 per gallon. With those kind of prices you would think they could upgrade their pumps ?
