Well here it is cleaned up. The white cleaned up pretty good but wish there was more red. Notice the nice red square where one of the lead signs was.

"Awesome. What do you use to get them cleaned like that? I have a few pumps I would like to try."

I used muratic acic (not sure if spelled correctly)on the white panels to get the rust stains off. Washed real good, then dryed right away.

Sometimes the rust comes back and you can't get it to stop with that acid.

Neutralize the Muriatic Acid w/ Household Baking Soda mixed w/ water, clean water rinse & DRY Thoroughly.

*Caution*, Will Robertson, DO NOT use Muriatic Acid on Pot Metal or ALUM. Chemical Reaction WILL ACCRUE & Generate Caustic Fumes. USE ONLY IN WELL VENTILATED AREAS W/ EYE & SKIN PROTECTION

I removed all pot metal and aluminum before cleaning any of the STEEL ONLY parts with the acid. Oh and I did use a respirator because the fumes are bad and used rubber globes.

It is always great to see another person enjoy a pump with patina. You just made my day.

Fresh paint and new chrome not welcome in my garage.
