When inserting the rubber gasket for face glass or ad glass, should the ends meet on the top or the bottom? PCM guide shows at the bottom and the gasket on my pump was at the top.

Anyone know which way is proper?

Hi Chuck. I thought I would respond to your question about the rubber gasket around the glass. Being in the autobody trade, it's a rule of thumb usually to have the split in the rubber at the bottom. I guess on add glass it probably doesn't make much difference, but on automotive glass you want the splits on the bottom to prevent any moisture from entering the inside top of the glass and running down. I guess, for me anyway, it's just a force of habit to do it this way.
Ken.
