Doing a internet search I came across this site. My grandfather was a Shell oil distributor and recently passed away and left a building full of shell items, My sisters and I are going to be having an garage sale this weekend to get rid of these items since the property has been sold, there are gasoline tanks, glass signs, metal signs and boxes of old oil cans inside of this building, everything is sold as is. This sale starts this Friday at 7 am: located at corner of Bryant and N. School in Bridgeport California. included is a photo of one of the more unusual signs for sale, hope to see you there, Nancy

Unless you just want to get rid of the stuff a yardsale is not the place to sell these items. Let us bid on them on this site or put them on ebay. You will be glad you did.

The SHELL plate pictured is ONLY the 6th one to surface in known collections.
IF, I was to sell mine, I'd list on Ebay & Refuse to end auction early for ALL OFFERS to do so.
I have turned down Serious money, recently.

This sale appears to be southeast of Carson City, NV., on the California, Nevada border., about a 1,000,000 miles, and too many tank fills of gas from St. Louis.

Welcome to oldgas. I would NEVER sell gas and oil collectibles at a garage sale!???
Just take a few minutes to place these goodies on ebay...Locally you will be limited to whom shows at sale BUT the whole world would see IF placed on ebay!!!
I honestly feel you'll get twice OR 3 X's the money on ebay than selling yourself SHORT at a sale. Just my opinion...

So has anyone received an email from these sisters. Are they real? Iv'e been through Bridgeport many times. Two woman do a search and find this site to talk about a garage sale? The town list a population of 836 people. Sounds a little like someone is having fun with us. How many really rare gas items have you seen in a garage sale. How big was that fish that got away? Moderators who is the internet provider these newbies signed in under? Very interesting. P.S. I wonder if they have a few Signal and Hancock pump plates for 50 bucks. Last of all they know how to use image shack but don't know squat about petro values. Maybe they have a couple acres of ocean front property right by the warehouse? Ha Ha Ted

Approx. 25 yrs. ago it HAPPENED to Jeff Pederson [GENERAL PETROLEUM MUSEUM] in Seattle. He was running a few service stations when a guy calls, he goes over to look & buys what he's looking at for $2500. He sent his helpers over the next day to move the stuff. They call Jeff, hey we are going to need More trucks ! There was another couple of buildings FULL, that Jeff Didn't know he bought.

If this is real Tom from Carson City or Dave Brown would have heard about it long ago. They are all over that area & Dave's home would be less than 20 miles from there.
