This Gulf sign was on e-bay #7230285783 with a reserve and did not sell. Can somebody give a value of this sign as I don't live to far and would like to contact the owner and make an offer. Thanks for any response

That is a neat GULF sign,,Looks as if it has a couple inches trimed from the bottom.[Probably was used to cover a hole] Still I think if you could get it for around $250 would be a good buy...especially if you could do a pick-up on it.. What do you other Guys think?,,,,,,Good Luck,,RD

COMPARE IT WITH THIS ONE DISPLAYED FOR SALE AT THE RECENT METRO PETRO SHOW. IN BETTER SHAPE THAN THE CAPE MAY ONE, BUT NOTICE IT ALSO HAS THE WHITE BORDER MISSING ALONG THE BOTTOM EDGE. I AM BEGINNING TO THINK IT WAS MADE THAT WAY FROM THE FACTORY. I WILL TRY TO SEE WHAT THE PRICE WAS ON THIS SIGN FROM THE ORIGINAL IMAGE.

SORRY, THE HANDWRITING IS JUST TOO ILLEGIBLE IN THE ORIGINAL PICTURE.

ED NATALE, JR. HAS INFORMED ME THAT THE SIGN PICTURED ABOVE AT THE METRO PETRO SHOW DID SELL FOR $275.00. GOOD PRICE FOR A NICE VERSION OF THAT OLDER GULF SIGN!

THANKS, ED.

...the reason the sign has no white border at the bottom is that there was a smaller white 'privilege panel' for the name of the station, or its owner...the privilege panel was blank white porcelain and the name would be hand-lettered...the two signs were screwed to a wooden frame...

...and $275 is indeed a very good price for that sign in that condition...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
