Does anyone remember a gas station by the name of "Bay"? I remember it in Central Florida back in the 1960's when I was a kid. There is the "ghost" of one of their signs still in our area which has been painted over for a mechanic shop. I tried finding something on Google with no luck. If anyone has any information on it I would love to hear anything about it. Thanks

That's it!!! Thanks, I knew I wasn't crazy now I have a logo to prove it. Now I am going to try to find out where it was based and if there are any left and why they are all gone.

BAY was an oil production and gasoline marketing company based in Denver, Colorado. The company merged with Tennessee Gas Transmission in 1961 to form Tenneco. Bay had stations throughout the Midwest and Southeast in the 1960's. Tenneco got out of the oil business in the late 1980's and the last of the remaining Bay stations were sold to Dixie Oil.

Let me know if you would like more info.

Here are a couple of Bay globes that I used to own.

Notice the similarity of shield shape on the Dixie globe.

Here are a couple of other Bay globes.
