Morning all! First day of another work week and the one day out of the year that this country honors its military veterans! There is a big event uptown at the Memorial Building and they always get a great turnout!
Take a moment and say thanks to a veteran today!
Have a great day on me!!--KEVIN

Good morning gang!

Thanks to all of our veterans for their service!

We had a busy weekend, went and looked at a bunch of cabins and lake land on Saturday, spent 12+ hours.... Good news though, we found one that we really liked. Nice cabin on a nice lake with good fishing and a sandy beach, and guess what, you dont need to be a mountain goat to get down to the lake!

I spent the entire day yesterday working on my wifes car. It has a chrysler 2.7 engine in it if that means anything to any of you. The hyd timing chain tensioner failed, causing a rattle when you would start the car (it would then go away). The rattle was the chain slapping the inside chain guides. From the slapping the plastic guide material was all busted off and the chain was being guided by just raw steel.

All of this was caused by a brand new part that I installed about a year ago when I put a timing chain and water pump in the car. The tensioner has a check ball on the back end of it that failed, causing the oil pressure inside the tensioner to bleed off after the car was shut off, resulting in the timing chain loosening up after being parked. Anyways, its fixed now.

Have a good day everybody!

Good Morning everyone,

Thanks to all veterans out there!

Going up to 62 today then dropping to 22 by morning. Yikes! Coldest so far this season. Been very busy in recent days. Loading and unloading trucks and packing and unpacking a walk-in freezer for the local food pantry distribution. Everything went smoothly. We helped close to 500 local folks who qualified for assistance. Best part was working with my 10 year old granddaughter on Saturday. She is a hard worker and fun to be with.

Have a great Veterans Day out there in Oldgasland!

Here in the Great White North it is Remembrance Day for those who served. I would post a picture of my front yard but the 2 feet of snow would depress most of you-so I won't. Will be going to Argentina next week-do any OGers want me to put an order at their favorite porcelain sign factory? Kidding aside, we Bev and I, will be in Buenos Aires for a week and I'll be looking for signs while I am down there just for something to do while we are ogling the architecture, tasting the food and drink and admiring the culture. Maybe there will be a few "real" ones too.

Thanks also to all our Veterans who have served our country proud! Cold, raining, suppose to be 1/2 of snow behind this. Everyone of my friends wonder why we go to St Lucia so much. Look outside! Ryan, I have done that change on cars where the plastic guides break or are worn off from a sloppy chain. NO FUN. You all have a good Veterans Day. I am taking one of my vet buddies out for lunch since we are stalled in the field. Be safe everyone, Rob

Ryan Those motors are crazy the way there set up I've had to do that on five cars in one day. Not my favored job but the pay out at the end is great.

Thank you Veterans!

Having a great day here. High fog covering the sun and keeping things cool. Had a nice breakfast with Michelle. Chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns and a big ole biscuit. Grandaughter woke up from her nap, gotta go!
May God bless us all,
Mike

NINETY EIGHT YEARS AGO

A boy chained his bike to a tree, then went to fight WWI.

The tree is on Vashon Island, which is between Tacoma and Seattle, Washington. Quite amazing!
