I did not know you could consign, otherwise I would have done that years ago. Wonder what the commission would be? When I asked Rory Brinkman a few years ago about me bringing & selling some Automobilia to any one of their auctions,he told me They,B-J,He buy the Automobilia personally, and then re-sell it at their auctions themselves and there's no other way.
I'm unaware of any soul owners of Automobilia selling under consignment with them either.. Brinkman is the sole provider of automobilia for Barret Jackson. He has exclusive rights. No consignments. Maybe things have changed, but here is my consignment from 2012, and the commission is 15%. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/applicati...id=443&it=3

Ok so u get a booth, show up and price all your pumps and signs at astronomical prices. It's not the same as an auction atmosphere where rich guys get in a p//&//n contest to impress trophy babe of the day. You can't expect near the same money for your stuff let's not delude ourselves.
Seeking Knowledge and a Good Deal. Always looking for neon signs and skins , Flying A ,& Wayne 60s.

I have been there and it is as described, for the big toys anyway. The petrolania is held first thing in the AM at the Vegas show. A bunch of sleepy eyed people show up and the bidding starts on smalls and slowly but surely the volume gets jacked and people start perking up because the coffees kick in and soon your seeing real money being spent. Most items are restored, the néon is always in a crate ready to go and blinking away at you. It is a real show. The trophy wives do come out to play but only after 10. There are some ladies bidding btw including one from the denver area buying cars for her museum. I spoke to Rory and he was quite willing to take signs but his bar be forewarned is set quite high!

You can't sell originals as I have been told, only the four guys that are grandfathered in there. I believe that Ron and Bernie are two of the four.

The guy that was a vendor selling stuff like candy machines, scales, etc that were all from back in the day did pretty well for him self. Think the last count I had of him he sold 18 or 21 high end pieces I think the cheapest was 1k to the higher end of 8k price point. All great over restored stuff. Granted a spot cost what...$4800, lots of people, lots of expenses, its the big ballers venue. And I was sitting in second row in front of the stage...I feel left out now. I didn't get any free drinks. I had to buy my own Diet Coke.
