I picked this up recently, don't know much about the company but I like the can. If you have any information on them, let me know. Thanks and enjoy!

For history of companies such as Union you can Wikipedia them or use the Google search within OG function which is in the upper right of the page.
Red Line is a brand of Union Oil founded in Santa Paula Ca and that symbol for Union was in 20-30s time frame. Click the link for more:

That can looks to be in pretty good shape for its age.

I am sure that one of our OG members who happens to live in the city of Santa Paula will chime in once he gets his shorts and sandals on. It takes him a while to get going! And I suspect you might be baiting him. wink

The can is from 1932 or later. Nice condition.

Here's a 10 lb Cup Grease can that I picked up a few weeks ago.

Here are a couple of early Canadian Union cans with a US one pound tin in-between. Cheers, Don.

Don that Aristo can sure is darn nice. What do you think its age is? And in a completely unrelated vein-I see that your showcase is from Iowa City. That is one well travelled piece of furniture. Lovely university town is Iowa City.
