I purchased my first visible on Dec. 12, 2013 and the restoration is 99.9% complete. I did everything except sand blast the skins. When I purchased it, it was held up by a homemade industrial strength Christmas tree stand. I still need to apply the TO CAR/TO STORAGE labels and touch up the red paint in a few places where the skin installation process nicked it. I don't have a globe or holder yet; will wait a while to select them. I am pleased with the outcome, but wonder how well the red paint will hold up in TX summer sun. When it gets dull, I will roll more paint on it!

I also painted the pump handle New Ford/International Harvester Blue, but may repaint it red.

Yes, it lights up. I installed an obsolete 60 watt incandescent bulb under the bonnet. In hindsight, I wished that I had installed a small string of LED lights at the bottom of the tank; around the perimeter,to illuminate the lower part of the tank. Too much effort to do that now.
