Hi gassers, pardon my ignorance but did Mae West pumps (10 gall) ever have blue tint cylinders? Or were the blue cylinders mostly seen on 70 series Fry pumps? I have never seen them on Mae Wests.

Thanks Jason, it sure looks good. Do these cylinders normally have the etched fry logo on glass? I guess that some did and some didn't ?

I have had three or four with original blue cylinders. I don't remember if they were marked or not.
I picked this one up in November.

I have never seen a glass cylinder that had the Fry logo or any other pump manufacturer's name etched in the glass. They usually say "Macbeth", "Nultra", or other names. Sometimes they have no markings on them at all.

I had a 13-1/2 x 22 tinted cylinder many years ago that had the Fry logo about an inch tall etched into the top edge area of the cyclinder.

I was told that at one time, Fry actually made their own cylinders? It was at that time that they were etched "FRY". I've seen a few thru here like that. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

FRY was a glass manufacture that got into making pumps. Later bought out by Wayne.

Ads in old National Petroleum News, for cylinders were very few, the only company that advertised they used "Nultra" cylinders was Gilbert & Barker.

The 5 gallon Mae Wests were also in blue but very tough to find...

Years ago, I had a deep blue 5 gallon cylinder that I sold on Ebay for $1200+... I'd liked to have seen the pump he put it in...
