The reason I ask is I picked this up yesterday and noticed its from the same town. There is no date on sign and its painted (not porcelain) I did a little research and found out the last time gas was 33 cents was early 1940's, also that apparently the Tulare Texaco Mini Mart is still in operation. Just wondering if you knew of it or maybe the person who bought your sign will see this post and chime in ? Thanks

I doubt it... LOL

Most of my driving was being done in SW WA and NW OR during the early 70s.... With the occasional trip to San Jose, LAla land and 'Diego... But, those were I-5 Banzai runs... Down and right back....

During the gas wars in 1964 I would runa with a Half a tank all the way to the city limits of Detroit and fill up at the Gulf station on Grandriver Ave. For 29.9 cents per gallon. Those were the day's .
