I reported this and also, I sent the seller a message informing them it is either poorly restored or a poor reproduction. I'll see how they reply.

THANK YOU for reporting Jimmy, Randy, Tom, Mike, Kevin, Brian and everyone else who did without posting. As of now the listing is still active, but I'm hoping throughout the course of today that will have changed due to the efforts by the members here.

Have a great day!!

Sent him this message this morning.Dear drydusty,

Just to let you know, and I'm not trying to give you a hard time, but your sign has either been poorly restored or it is a complete fabrication/reproduction. It is quite obvious to anyone who knows Sinclair, but maybe not to a novice collector.
Then I reported it.
Here is the reply I got when i got home from work.
"Absolutely no restoration or touch up---been collecting and selling porcelain signs for over 20 years..Take another look "

I got the same thing after sending him this:

me:If it's too nice to be that old there is a reason. Your sign is a poor reproduction of an original sign. Please change your auction to state this. Thank you!

his 1st: Being too nice to be old is not evidence of a poor reproduction. Since you haven't seen the sign what you are expressing is an opinion-not a fact. Since you seem to have knowledge that this is a reproduction please send me evidence of what you are saying- like another copy of this sign with four separate layers of porcelain on each side. I welcome evidence that my sign is a reproduction.

Me: Simple answer....Sinclair never made a sign that the letters were done that sloppy. Just look at the letters and then google Sinclair sign and see how bad this one looks next to an original.
Also a number of collectors feel the same:

Thanks!!!

him: Thanks for good advice ---item ended

Great job everyone!!

Thanks
Mike
