Does anyone recall what it sold for?
Seems like worst of both worlds...not original, not great restoration.

Agreed...awful. Also has a broken drain handle and how about that "custom" ID tag backing plate?? These asking prices are getting insane.

Have you lately read the value & for sale forums? It seems like condition and quality just don't matter when these people are throwing out prices and values!!
I'm just glad, I was able to build my collection when I did.

They can/do ask sky high prices, BUT it won't sell for that in next couple years. Look what the Restored [but UN-finished] Green & White one sold for recently!

Question? I have a Roman and have restored one for another person. I have also seen several others through the years and this Roman on EBAY is the first I've seen with the brass tag that say's gallon under each set of indicators. It's located on the center casting that the cylinder sets in. I don't remember filling any holes in the casting where these are located. Does anyone know if these tags are supposed to be on the Roman or not. I have three of the gallon tags and I'm wondering if I should install them on my Roman or not.
