Help! Does anyone have a paint code for Polly Gas Green?

Also - I'm looking for the chrome trim piece that surrounds the end of the gas nozzle when it is "hung up" - for a Gilbarco 96C. Any ideas?

Thanks!!

The book, Gas Pump Collectors Guide by Scott Benjamin and Wayne Henderson, has color numbers for a wide range of gasoline brands and is a fine resource for the gas pump collector or restorer.

A search of archived Shop Talk messages at this site shows these responses for Polly paint color questions:

A good and cooperative automotive paint dealer should have old fleet color books that have brand specific colors listed. And they should have a computerized color scanner that can scan your sign or decal colors to get a matching paint.

Scanning a decal or porcelain sign with a computerized paint scanner does not work. To get an accurate color match you have to scan a painted surface.

Here is an Erie clockface I restored in Polly colors using a different variation on the green. All the pumps I have seen were basically the same light green and I wanted something a little different. The pump turned out pretty good and the darker green really brought out the brass trim and gold colors. Since there is no "concours d'elagance" for pumps (yet), I shouldn't get docked any points! The green is PPG DBC 44931.
